The boys

Ok I finally managed to get the animation up here, like I said it still needs a little work, but these are just the rough keys : )

Hope you guys enjoy it, I've been developing my final character as well, so those will be up tomorrow,
in the meantime I'm going to bed cos I think I'm seriously comming down with something : (
It's the end to a series of bad events...showing up two hours early to work, having a really gross (EXENSIVE)
lunch (only poor uni students will be able to understand that frustration) forgetting to move my car so it was towed
having to track it down in whoop whoop then being fined 185 dollars and finally waking up this morning feeling like
shite!

Oh well heres hoping the week improves : )

Hey everyone

So this week we worked mostly on timming and getting good strong keys to quickly communicate the story or emotion. I've posted my little ball throwing animation, basically the taller boy is teaching the fairly reluctant younger one to catch, these are the main keys, and I've spaced them evenly apart at the moment so I can mess around with the timming and see what works.
I also have to fix up a few of the poses, like the first as he looks like he's thinking or up to something rather than ushering the other boy forward.
I also want to have him call him forward a couple of times so you really know he doesn't want to do it.
I've also been waking up at 5 so I can do some drawing as I've had to work a fair bit, heres a few I did the other day, enjoy!

This is the girl I was thinking of using for my final piece

Ok, I've tried a few times but I wasn't able to get the animation up, I'll try again tomorrow, one of the pics shows you the design of the boys though, hope thats enough for now,
Have a great start to the week : )

it all started with a mouse...

hey everyone, hope your all having a great week!

Now as most of you know I'm studying animation every Saturday with John (the co-owner of RKA animation - responsible for Mr Sheen among other things) and I'm having an absolute best time, its hard to believe its taken me this long to finally sit at a traditional table and bring things to life but its happening! I thought I'd post some of my first ever animations for you, the one of the wave was my very first I drew the waves then added the boat then finally the little man inside. Johns really getting me to focus on one thing at a time which makes total sense. I'm also working on time (timing) next lesson I'll be doing some in-betweening so can't wait!

A proper welcome message

For those of you who kept up with my last blog exploits WELCOME BACK! : P as always I enjoy your feedback and encouragment, for those of you that are new to this wonderful world of distant and slightly lazy non committal communication, welcome!

To check out my adventures in America head to http://lesleyvamos.blogspot.com/

But now onto the future, or more importantly the present

This blog will basically be about my journey this year, my last year of uni and beginning into the world of animation! I’ll include photos, drawings and of course the crazy often insanely random events that frequent in my life ☺

So stay tuned, it wont be as prolific as last time (a weekly visit should be sufficient to stay up to date) I’m really looking forward to what this year has in store as well as hearing about what your up to and your critiques and comments on my work

Hey and welcome - just a quick post to say stay tuned, I have a few entries I'm working on now that my internet's up and running :) so look forward to some good stories by the end of the week, don't forget this isn't a one way method of communication if you've got something to say. say it...or write it :P
